I have not had this problem. I think that the problem lies within the synchros.

just a update. i was doing a side job on a accord and needed to go over to honda to look at a book real quick. i asked thier "master tech" there why the trans kept popping out. he said it's very common and it's the syncro. i guess this is very common for the 96-00 y8 trans. i have also changed from regular syncro mesh fluid to the friction modified. it doesn't pop out near as much now, but it's still bad.

nope, their fine. all mounts are great. this is deffinatly something inside the trans. i can be driving ing 2nd at lower rpm's and it just comes out on it's own. i always try to hold it in 2nd and it pops out and right back in. i'm sure it's the syncro assembly. i think that the sycro collar has gone south. there is a ring in there as well that holds agaist the collar and i thinks that worn to. i'm gonna replace all the syncro's with the ones that were in my cx trans. that trans shiffted great.

i got $5 says it's something to do with the syncro assembly. maybe not the syncro ring it's self, but the problem is internal for sure.
