white smoke is headgasket or possible cracked cylinders. Do you have arps and a metal 3 layer head gasket? if not its probably time.

Are you running 91 octane or higher? High comp needs high octane.

SMOKE:
white = coolant/water
blue = oil
black = fuel

no i dont have studs or a gasket i didnt think i would need one im only on 6 psi.
and its not alot just sometimes here and there. and yes i always run 93 octane in it. but was not sure of the gas that was in the car when i bought it this is the first true week of driveing it. idk so yall think to check the headgasket there is no milky stuff in my oil or water in it so im almost posative i didnt blow it but i mean i trust yalls option more then mine for sure so just let me know thanks

well, sometimes it can be still be bad and not have any coolant on the dip stick or oil in the rad. filler. it could the cylinders wall could be cracked or the deck and or head is slightly warped.
has the car been sitting for a while? it might a little water in the tank. I'd just drive it and get rid of the gas in it now (unless you've already done that)

Lean mixture will not cause white smoke.
Replace that headgasket at get some arp studs. :TU:

ARP headstuds are a standard for boost. Yeah, at 6PSI, you probably don't NEED them, but personally, I never want to see head lift in real life. It's not fun.
And, if you replace the HG, you can check the cylinders for cracking, and you can eliminate the HG as a possible culprit.

you guys are totally right im going to get me a headgasket and studs for sure. isnt the 3 layer headgasket good for like 12 psi anyways. the smoke i have is blue. and it mainly comes at idle not driveing and its very brief when it does it. but i also have the stiff hose that goes on the Manifold it has a HUGE slice in it i think its the PCV line the one that goes down threw the Mani could that cause it to smoke like that ?

always when your boosting its a good rule of thumb to mandatory get a new head gasket and arp headstuds. because d-series motors are notorious for head lift. even if your only at 6psi boost is addicting your going to wanna turn it up a notch and those things really help out when doing so. also before boosting your engine did you ever do a compression test or a leak down? just curious

no i never did one befor i boost it its a small turbo though IHI off a probe and i mean 6psi on this isnt really that much but does the PCV valve hose being busted have anything to do with it but ima get the HG and Studs dont have i have to get a diff stud or something because i have a y7 bottom with a JDM d15b head want i need like a z6 arp stud or something of the sort ?

^that's what turbo I'm running. Is 6psi what the stock actuator/wastegate is set at? what size exhaust are you running?

So you are burning a little oil at idle too?

i havent seen the WHITE smoke that my gurl has told me off. just the blue and the smell when i ride downt the road idk what it is.
and 6psi i guess is the stock setting that is where my waste gate is and i havent messed with it but im bout to fix some shit on it that went bad.
and i am running 2 1/4 i need to have 2 1/2

^ went bad on what? the turbo.
I wonder if the 2 1/4 is effecting it spooling up all the way? cause I thought those turbos were rated at 7-8psi.

it shouldnt its a small turbo. i mean it cant be no bigger then a 30 something trim Exhaust side and it have a 2 1/2 DP on it but ima get a 2 1/2 soon so that should help if it is.
i was thinking maybe my oil seal on the turbo is starting to go out but after so driveing tonight i belive that its fuel mostly cause it smokes at idle pretty good and i do have a FMU cause im waiting on 450cc injectors and Walbro pump and new basemap with street tune so yea.

30 trim, lol. I dont doubt it. I drove a lot yesterday. and in normal driving conditions it really doesn't feel like it's being held back. when I try to get into boost it does though. Hopefully I'll be getting a 2.5 catback in a week or so.

i have the same issue. like right befor the BIG boost changever i get a bog and i know its not timing cause i jsut took care of that not to long ago so if its hurting me anywhere its right there after that its NASTY lol.. not

^I changed my boost retard to .6 per pound and took some fuel out of the boost correction and it made a small difference. but it still feels like its being held back.
maybe your running too rich in boost? I'm pretty siked to see what a 2.5 catback will do on my car. when are you hitting boost? right now I can drive normal and not get into boost at all even on the freeway at 3-3.2k rpms.
