underdrive pullies help to gain hp. some people say they are big bang for the buck, on the other hand, some people say they will destroy the alternator, and some other components , what do you guys think?

ugh, search man! underdrive pullies are about as worthwhile as, well, something not very worthwhile.
in other words, don't waste your money. and if you have 200+ dollars that you are dying to spend... send it to me!

umm, if you wanna question people you fuckin noob, just go out and do it. i hate asshats that come in here and ask advice and then try to justify not taking it. if you don't want the advice, or if you think "honda/acura engine performance" has better judgement then people that have real world experience, then get the fuck outta here.

thats more like it :TU: but idk why honda/acura says it but ive heard a lot of bad stuff about it. its to light. ur crank needs rotating mass... stock one is fine man! if u wanna lighten something get a light flywheel. its a better investment then a underdrive pulley!

Luke just said it best........
The oval piston part of the engine was always a friction and ring sealing nightmare, as was the cam drive system which caused many DNF's until they mounted a big rubber chunk with a weight on the outside as a vibration dampener right to the end of the camshaft. After the dampener, all valvetrain related failures stopped.
One should see this as a lesson in how important dampeners are for all engines, or even camshafts in this case. Solid pulleys should never be used on a d-series.
