View Full Version : i cant find my jumper to check ecu codes??

here's how my shit looks. doesnt look anything like what i've seen online for how to check codes.. anybody can say what i gotta do to check codes?
all the plugs and the ecu

close up on the other one sorta in the middle of everything, looks like an 'intermediate' plug of some sort.

everything behind there is 100% from the factory.
car is 1997 Civic SR coupe, equivalent to USDM EX coupe

My 2 pin service connector was behind my ecu. Have you taken yours out and looked behind it? If you cant find the 2 pin connector just get a OBDII scan tool. The Diagnostic connector for OBDII is "D" shaped and located near the fuse box on the driver side of the car. Looks like your car is RHD, so things are gonna look different than most stuff on the net.

looked behind, above, all over the place n i cant find that 2 pin connector.

^^what he said, just go to autozone and make them do it for free if you dont have one, or 30 bux at harbor freight

the last '97 i checked it was behind the plastic on the right side of the ecu

he doesnt live in the states they may not have a autozone

Jump pin c7 to ground for it to flash the code/s. It's usually a brown wire over here.

which is c n which is 7 on c?
and do i just tap it on the chassis of the car to 'jump it to ground' ?

Blue connector, brown wire. I can see it in the picture, i think. Just jumper wire it to ground.

so.. i guess i gotta unplug the whole blue connector from the ecu?
