Is the hx the same as ex trannys? Or is it the same as dx, cx, lx?

I believe the HX used the mysterious CVT tranny. Comprised of big rubber bands.

yeah the hx uses the cvt tranny, certainly the weirdest transmission i've ever seen. you can learn all about it at howstuffworks.com, and edmunds.com has a review of the hx where they go into detail about the cvt and how it drives and stuff like that
