Alrights so I fuck up my engine. Wat happen was me and my fren was doing a pull from 40-125 mph on the freeway and got carry away into a race with a prelude .So the first time I pulled the prelude pretty far if you ask me, should of just lay off and goten off the freeway, instead he wanted another try so I gave it to em, max out 3rd gear about to shift it to 4th, was hard going in and thens bam!!!!!!!!!! It went into 2nd gear. When I got off the free way the car just died. The car wouldn't start at all until u floored the gas pedal, manage to get it home tho. Did compression test all low 140 across. Pulled the Head and found out that I bented both exuast valve in piston 4. I also lined up all the piston in the middle and poured coolant about a 1inc in the piston let it over night, came to check it todays and found coolant to still be in piston 1 and 3 only. Just want the final answer to is my engine gone?

i would think bad rings. you can drive it still, i mean i did almost the same thing and my comp is about 150-170psi, 150 being 4 and 2 and 170 being 1 and 3. it also comes down to if you want to keep your d or not.

where did the coolant come from? was it still leaking from the head perhaps? water wouldnt come out from underneath the pistons...

He poured coolant in the cylinder, to check the rings, I guess.

i would at least get another block to swap in while youre getting that one built cuz itll prolly need it

I wonder how you bent those exhaust valves...maybe your rods stretched a bit at those high RPM's. Stock rods?

yea im guessin the rods stretched! and by the sound of ur damage just pick up a new d...there like 300 bucks and then u can build this bent up one..

i dunno,
sounds like it may have jumped a few teeth to me,
causing the pistons to hit the valves,
& pouring coolant into the cylinder (walls) isnt going to tell you if your piston rings are bad or not,(if that was what you was doing)
the rings already have a bit of blow-by,so the coolant will go down passed the rings into the block at one time or another,
you should be able to tell if the rings are bad or not by lookin at'em.
you may have just jumped some teeth & crashed a few valves,
I'd just replace them with a few valves you may have leftover..
new HG & belt if it doesnt look bad.
just tighten the belt up a bit more,
but....thats all IMO

dude you misshifted from 3rd to 2nd?? holy shit...even tho their is a rev limiter your motor probably saw 9K ... meaning you probably floated your valves causing them to contact your piston....i'd would of done a leak down test...leak downs gonna tell more than the compession in this situation...

theres not a rev limiter for over revving on down shifts.......fyi

no , i still would have to say, taching out in 3rd gear then slammimg it down into 2nd would of resulted in the belt jumping some teeth,
I'm surprised the fork didnt brake from that,
I had a friend who broke his fork when downshifting into 1st from a high rev 2nd gear....

No the car timing belt didn't jump. Oh I forgot to mention I was boosting about 9 pounds with a basmap only. Anywaise this is the go ahead sighn to built the bottom block. B4 i pulled the head off the car was able to drive but when it falls down to about 15k rpm the car just dies. I'll post up that video clip of that night laters. Oh yah and D-series all the way!!!

My bads 1500 rpm. But so far I already have these parts plan out for the block build; block gaurds, Eagle Rods, Oem gasket, head stud, as far as the piston goes I might get Srp 9:1 compression from TT, still gonna use the Apexi turbo that I have, looking for 250-300 horsepower with this build. Any other part you guys sugest I should get also?
