So I've been playing around with my compression calculator and have found that a set of p29 pistons in my a6 y8 mini would yield a compression of 12.6 at sea level and 11.44 at my altitude of 5860 ft (+- 1500').
Does this sound right???
I should be able to run this fine with the right timing on 91 octane gas right???

After my last mishap of ordering pistons that didn't fit (.028 out of the hole) I'd like to be 100% certain that everything is going to work and run right before i order things again.

So here would be my set up:
d16 block / crank
y8 head
y8 HG
p29 pistons
Later comes a crower stage 2 cam w/ springs and retainers.

Think all that will clear with no issues at all? I'm going to rev the crap out of it every now and again and don't want to have to worry about an unexpected head removal :(

The Higher The Octane The Better Or Find Some E85 Or Race Gas Or Make Your Own Race Fuel

well this is my DD and I can't really be running race fuel through it all the time ;) 11.4:1 should run on 91 octain pretty good right?

well is it going to knock? Maybe at 22 degrees right? but if i have it set at say 16 or so it should run fine right?

Anybody got any tips on tunning this at all with stock components? As in, I don't have anything but the stock cpu (pm6) and a fpr.

Yeah I'm just afraid of driving down to sea level and being at 12.61:1 compression :S I'll be at 11.44:1 up around my town though so It shouldn't be too big of an issue.
