i'm going to get a y8 engine and i want it turbocharged, but i've run into some problems now trying to look for a good set up:

These are my plans:

- y8 block
- eagle rods
- Vitara piston
- Edelbrock intake manifold and B16a2 TB(60mm)
- hondata i/m gasket
- Sard Bov
- Garett T3

housing flow: 61 lbs/min 781cfm

.70 A/R housing

60 TRIM wheel

TURBINE SPECS:T3

.63 A/R housing

HIGH FLOW 76 TRIM stg 3 wheel

- TT 550cc injectors
- average intercooler
- 3" DP and 3" exhaust no cat
- Hondata s300
- 93 octane

I'm looking for a top end of 300whp.Is the Garett T3 60trim a good choice if you want a fast spool up?Also, would it make a big difference if i would use the edelbrock i/m or a i/m from a z6 ?Can i reach my goal of 300whp...?comments and ideas are welcome thx ;)

well theres a guy here in jc that has a z6 pushing 403 WHEEL horsepower. so you can get 300 but he is also running like 29 lbs of boost. id also throw a big fat ass vtec cam in it!go edelbrock int cause its fucking huge! if u really wanna push big numbers throw nitrous in too, but that requires alot of tuning if ur also turbo

fuck nitrous... you should come close to 300 whp with that setup. the eldebrock intake mani is nice, better than a z6 or a y8, but i'd go with the skunk2 pro series. that's what i had on my boosted d... just give it a shot, there's no way of knowing anything until you build and throw that fucker on a dyno!
