I'm haveing problems with my wife's 95 civic, it keeps throwing a 03(map sensor voltage high) code, I've tried putting my othe map on same problem, it came down to doing a wire and voltage check, everything checked out fine, until a got to the white wire on the map, charts say it is to read 5V, but I had 0.034V, next step stated that if the voltage on the white wire was wrong which it was, that to repair the break or short in that wire, here is the kicker, I have a V-AFC hooked up, and that is the only break in the wire that I"ve found.

Question- Is the V-AFC messing up the MAP sensor voltage and what can I do to fix it, adjustment wise?

This is a fully built D16Z6 motor, if you are interested in seeing what"s done, maybe something else is causing my problem, let me know and I'll post it.

Thanks in advance

check to make sure that your connections are still good where you installed the afc. that could be a major problem. also check all connectors to see if perhaps you have a constant 5 v wire grounding out to your signal wire. that would just be a start for me.

I check everything twice, and it all looked good, that's why I was wondering if the V-AFC, settings might have something to do with it. My mm/Hg are around -500 at idle, but when the code flashes, mm/Hg go up to -700 for a second and then back down, and everything fine from then on until the code flashes again.

not to steal your post, but I am also having a similar problem. My dizzy bearing blew up, so I had to put another dizzy on it. but before it went out, (just died on the highway, no throttle response) the speedo wasnt working for the first 2mins of driving, started bouncing around, and then finally started working, then the car died. I replace the dizzy, and the MAP code is thrown, also having a VAFC-2, Im also curious if this could cause the problem.
