popping sound from the motor

When I rev the motor quickly I get a popping sound from what I think is the intake.its kind of like a backfire but quieter and from the motor. Is this a sign that im running rich?

I can help....you gotta vacumn line hooked up thats doing it. My accord did it too. tap the gas back off and it goe vroomm...pop. Sound comes from the intake.

well its a d15b with intake and headers. I figured it was from running rich since I dont have my ecu chipped yet plus cant get the tps set right. How can I figure out which line it is? and what exactly is wrong with that line to make it do that? thanks in advance

Im not sure, but i can tell you that there was a vacumn valve on my old f22 and if i hooked it up directly into the intake instead of where it went on the manifold id get the same poppin sound. I got a neutral rep from somebody about mast last post on this thread. Next time they should explain why. I know a f22 is different than a d15/16 but its probally something similar causing the 'pop'.

Chill, this isnt e-bay...there is only positive and negative rep. The only reason you get neutral rep is because they dont have any rep points to give you...it was intentional.
