So i just swaped a dohc zc into my 90 crx si on top of that i threw a new harness in there everything was perfect then i started it and it threw code 9 i checked the self diagnostic for code 9 and it said to check the ohm's on the cps , and make sure their between 700-1000 i read 1090 is this enough to throw that code also would a d16a1 CPS be a working substitute, thnx.

a cps from a d16a1 will work perfect...

make sure your camshaft timing is correct before you go to the expense and trouble of swapping the CPS - they rarely go bad and code 9 on the DOHC ZC is usually due to incorrect exhaust cam timing

if you have your timing belt cover on it will rub on the timing belt making it slip.

all your sensors for that code are in your distributor.. change it out or make sure it is on correctly
