yeah the title describes it, at idle and when im just driving around i can hear it rattling away, its not the cat, its not a heatshield, its the damn resonator...bad resonator or what?

Resonators have baffles in them. Its possible.

:TU: mine was doing the same thing. I went to the local muffler shop and had them put in a no name straight through muffler to replace it. Worked great

I'm in the same boat.... cept for my exhaust is like a year old and I can't use the warrenty on it from summit racing cause it was made for a hatch and I cut-to-fit on a del sol lol

The baffle inside might have a broken spot weld. It does happen from time to time. No matter what brand you buy. Nothing serious just annoying as hell.

my resonater makes a rasp @ 2500-3000. so annoying. atleast i'm hoping it's the resonater

I had a similar problem. Mine cracked right around the welds and was rattling really bad. Replaced it and all was good.

thats just our cars, there is a resonance at 2500 and 4000

part of me assumed that it was just the engine. but someone else on here had the same problem, replaced the resonator. .. and wasn't having that problem anymore.
