I recently purchaced a DC 4-2-1 header that i am wanting to put on my d16y7. There is a slight problem however...there is only 1 o2 sensor bung and i have 2 o2 sensors one before and after the cat. If i was to put an extra bung on the header would that cause a CEL? Is there any way around this or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Get an exhaust from an EX.

Only 1 sensor on the header is normal, the other one should be on the cat converter. You need a cat converter from a Y8 model and put it after the header.

You can just leave the 2nd O2 sensor hanging in the engine bay where it has fresh air - zip tie it to something so it doesn't bang around, it won't throw a CEL.

Mine has been like that for 2 years now.

So what happens when you get your car inspected. Do they even notice?

im sure they would noticed if they looked hard enough. depends on how hard the smog guys wanna work. ive seen some guys not even look at the engine that hard. just check the engine code and thats it! o if u live in a non smogged law state ur ok

They stick a mirror under the car, see the cat (or resonator, or whatever they think is a cat), scan the ECU, and pass ya.
