View Full Version : rear brakes are squicking
alright last week i changeds the rear brakes and rotors on my friends 2000 sir. Now the brakes squike when u drive around 70 km or just when u take off, when u press the brake pedal the squick goes away and they dont squik. Whats the reason for this noise?

Did you properly break-in the pads? you have to drive easily on them for a while otherwise they'll glass over and you'll get squeaky brakes for a long time. Break-in is normally a few hundred miles of light braking to be safe....

No No, its that stupid break shield rubbing the rotor. Just bend it back away from the rotor its touching somewhere
