Vice Grips and some muscles. Then go to homedepot and get a new nut, since they are like pennies.

That bolt ain't stripped until it's round. Use something else, then get another nut. Not sure about the ring "welding" itself to it or not...

you could heat it up with a torch, use some vise grips and get it off , or get a cold chisle and a hammer , break the nut and stud off togather, and buy a new stud and nut at auto zone, or five finger discount at the local junk yard.

If the nut is rounded, vice grips and replace it with a new nut.

If the threads are stripped, breaker bar and force it off, then replace the stud with a bolt.

get a wrench that barely wont fit.... tap it on with a hammer.

voila and also shoot it with a lil pb blaster....

i had the same problem when taking off my header. vice grips, pb blaster, smaller wrench, torch...nothing worked. in the end, i just had to use another nut (to keep the first one from backing out) and pull the whole stud.

are we talking about a nut that spins but wont come off. I've had that wierd phnom happen to me a couple times. if you cut the stuc you can easily get it out with vice grips.

like he said vice grips. if that does'nt work i have seen sockets that remove nut by griping the flats sides instead of the corners.

6 sided sockets instead of 12 sided (or box wrenches) better for nuts/bolts that are likely to seize.(High heat areas).
+ Lots of PB Blaster!!
Good Luck!

i got like 3 sets of boltouts, its hella hard working on older cars without them, plus they help if you accidently strip bolts trying to remove them
