What in the world could cause my transmission mount to break/shear/tear apart?? This is the rear transmission/engine mount. Could the ES motor mount inserts cause that to happen? I still have the crapomatic transmission...

another question, can you remove the pin out of the vtec spool solenoid plug? The wire broke off right at the rubber grommet/seal.

did the mount break or the rubber material in the mount tear? cause the majority of mounts I've seen have been that way.

have you been testing out your new DIXIE horn? wow that is bad!!!!!!
does your car have a rebuilt title. I bougt a ranger one time and it turned out that it the bumper was welded on with just a bolt. Very ghetto

Upper bolt missing allowing the flexing to rip the mount.

The bolt that is missing come from the transmission side, should be a nut welded on there.

Someone messed up putting the bracket back on left a bolt out, then what happened to the nut?

Are all D-series engine/transmission bracket to engine mount the same along with the bolts? I really need to get my car back on the road asap.

Dude, make the shop pay to fix it. They are the ones that caused it. Tell them you are taking it to a dealer and they are going to pay to have it fixed or you will sue. It had all the bolts when you dropped it off.

yup, make the shop pay, they broke it, they can't really argue against it as long as you still have a work order or receipt.

as for all d-series mounts being the same i dunno, i think a manual and a auto mount are different. someone correct me if i'm wrong

I just had the bracket welded back together and welded a nut to the side. Shop didn't offer to do anything and I didn't have the patience or the time to deal with it. Going to head to the pick and pull and get myself another one...

i like the old one better, i might have stuck with that one, looks like a good weld job. that reminds me i need to get some new mounts for my car, my driverside front mount is torn, and i don't wanna swap to a manual with a torn mount, looks like i will be ordering some urethane from mcmasters soon.
