Installed header + Magnaflow high flow cat, for a 2 1/4" exhaust welded back to stock EP3 muffler. Stealth sound! I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Edit 5/23/07: Dyno session today! Only mods are header/cat/exhaust and the J's intake... very mild PnP also. Header makes power...

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the fit and finish. Very nice power gain up top, very noticable from 4k+. I'll have to find a decent CAI and throw it on the dyno to get some numbers.

If you are wondering, the header was discontinued 10/05 according to dynatech - grab these while you can still find em.

Exhaust is a little bit louder from the engine compartment. Still definitely overpowered by the intake.

The intake is ok, it has excellent throttle response, as advertised. Doesn't really do a whole lot for top end. My car is a DX model, with no hole from where the filter is down to the bumper area - it just sucks hot air coming off the radiator.

I need to cut that hole out and get a CAI.

The manufacturer, dynatech, just created an ebay account to liquidate old stock and used items. The Civic headers are new, but discountinued, so they are going cheap. If they list any more, they should show up at above link.

So it's not a "true" merge collector, it's a box. And the collector is only 2", but with my high flow cat / 2 1/4" exhaust, anything more would probably be overkill.

I don't have a crazy setup like you anyway ;)

I bought the same header over a month ago. I wrapped mine with some 2" header wrap, it came out good. I noticed a huge drop in midrange torque though. It's to be expected when going to a 4-1 from a 2-pc header. Can't complain because of the price. My S2 intake mani went on the next day so the midrange power was somewhat rediscovered. I'm at work so i'll have to post pics later on. but for now, the verdict is "get em while they're hot".... and cheap.

For the price, that header is really nice. Great find. Hotshot made a similar header like that and we retailed them for almost $400. Hell for less than $100, I should buy one while I wait for Bisi to get cought up on his headers. :TU:

Sounds nice too. This is the 2nd time I've installed that muffler on my car, first time my exhaust was so kindly twisted all the way around my rear LCA thanks to a manhole cover protruding a couple inches from the ground. My car sits a little higher now for that reason... :mad:

I'll do an in-car early next week - there is still a small exhaust leak somewhere I am hunting down, pretty sure it's the 3 bolt flange gasket. All you'll hear is the intake mostly, lol.

'cept for the fact that I paid about $140 shipped a month and a half ago. Oh well, still well worth the buy. Find me another 4-1 header....... pretty much at all for a d series other than a dc sports, and ill buy it too.
But back to the header. I had a cheap 4-2-1 header from Focuz or something on there before i went in search of a 4-1. As soon as I put on the header I realized that I lost a LOT of mid range torque, but I got a much smoother powerband and maybe a little increase around 65-7500. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen a slight drop in torque as much as I did.

Eh, I don't think it hurt the midrange much - it's also hard for me to say as I redid the entire exhaust at the same time, from stock to 2 1/4". I'll try to bum some dyno time next week for a baseline, should be a pretty solid indicator of the header's value since I don't have a lot else done.

That's cool. I have quite a bit done to my motor, and with my stock P2P Ecu and a 5 minute VAFC tune i pulled 127whp and about 107 ftlbs. I didn't have a chance to run it with just the header, i was too anxious to get the S2 on. by the way, is so sweet. Im gonna try and post some pics in a few minutes, i have to sign up for this photobucket thing i guess.

Those headers look real nice. I am going to get some 4-2-1 ceramic coated ones so they will not crack like SS. I hope they look as clean as your install. Peter

The Kamikazee is the Knock off of the original Hotshot 4-1 header. We changed it cause it had a SERIOUS flat spot on the Dyno..... So we changed it. The owner of Kamikazee use to buy flanges from us way back when
