grinding in gears (help me)

hey guys my tranny started making some mad noises

When i shift into third there is no grind at all then the second i let off the clutch it starts grinding like crazy and if i dont give it gas it wont make the noise. it makes this noise in 3rd 4th and 5th and the higher the gear the worse the noise is

Axles busted or not all the way in??

Fluid level good? When was it changed last?

one of my axle seals broke and fluid leaked out and my dad was driving and ddnt no and he had it in 5th the whole time and when he got home he told me it kept popping out of 5th so i checked the fluid and it took about 1 qt of fluid so i changed both seals and changed the fluid and i did tht prolly 3 weeks ago

oo i also 4got to tell u guys tht when i put it in reverse and ill start going backward whenever i push the clutch in the tires just lock up but its still and gear and the clutch is in

Yup. Tranny is toast. The lack of fluid burnt the bearings.


Stop driving the car and start looking for a tranny.

he did. eyal 951 is selling a tranny, its been rebuilt, i don't remember how much he is askin for it, but it would be better then buying used.

my problem is the complete opposite. mine makes more noise the lower the gear and only makes noise when i let off the gas. lol
