Hey guys, I know its not a D but my bro has a 98 Jetta. And he called saying that right when he got 2 work. He felt that his clutch got stuck in the pressed position. Could it be that his clutch is dead? (I know its a noob question but not sure)

Check fluid. Then look for leaks. That's what I'd do no matter what car I'm driving.

Dead pedal = Clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, leak in clutch line, or pressure plate.

Hm....thx guys. I was wondering that it could have been the clutch cylinder. But ill check the other stuff as well, hopefully its not the plate. Thx again.

if its not a hydro clutch then the clutch cable most likely fell off or broke.

tell him to be careful with that tranny, those rivets on the diff like to shear and rip a new asshole in the tranny case.
