I don't want to interfere with my radiator fan coming on when it gets hot
but, I want to install a switch to manually run my radiator fan, how should I go about doing this.
I don't care about cutting wires, I cut and crimp lot of wires.
Also my radiator fan don't always seem to come on when my car gets hot... thats why I want to make sure it comes on.

Well I Konw You Have To Bypass The Temp(fan Switch)switch By The Inlet To The Block, Just Loop It ( I Think Its Just To Tell The Ecu Thst U Need To Be On ??). Than Tap In To The Fan And Run Wire To A Fuse Then To A Switch, Or To The Fuse Box(in Car) And The Ing. Switch Will Do The Switching For You , I'd Just Find Whats Not Letting It Work Right And Fix It

cut the green and black wires on the fan swtich located on the thermostat housing. then run the switch in parallel with ur proposed switch. this will mean that u will create a current path when u activate the switch causing the relay to trip and turning the fan on.
just make sure u connect the switch on the housing back up aswell so that when ur switch is off, it will still activate when its warm.

Wow I must be retarded
HORNY Devil is right on apparently
and SoCalY8 is right about there being a problem that needs to be fixed...
By run the switch in parallel you mean connect the green and black wires together with the switch I assume but also still run the wires to the relay
like this schematic i made up, i am visual learner, i personally can't read and picture whats going on
-----green----my switch-----relay
#############||||###|||||
-----black-----my switch-----relay
- = Wire
# = Air
| = Switch or relay connecting wires
******now what is this
"just make sure u connect the switch on the housing back up aswell so that when ur switch is off, it will still activate when its warm."
whats the housing back up

I have one on my car as we speak.I have had it hooked up this way since before this year and it has never given me a problem or failed to come on.Also this way you can't accidentally leave it on and drain your battery since it only works when the ignition is in the "on" position.(even with the engine off)
Using the oem relay and wiring all i did was cut the wire under the passenger side fuse box (yellow/green I think I will verify it in a few hours.) and run a ground to the switch. Viola hit the switch, it grounds it and cuts on but it still lets the system ground itself when its at the right temp even with the switch off
(edit checked my wiring and thats the correct wire color)
step one- unhook negative battery terminal
step two-unbolt under hood fuse box
step three-undo wire loom and tape
step four-find yellow/green wire and tap into it
step five-run wire from tapped yellow/green to switch
step six-ground switch
step seven-re connect battery test system, then warm car up and listen for the fan to turn itself on.

Appreciate it guys
cbuscivictuner gave me the easy way :-D and it sounds like the "RIGHT" way
Edit:
Within 5 minutes of reading your post and a sticky note later I followed your directions
step one- unhook negative battery terminal
step two-unbolt under hood fuse box
step three-undo wire loom and tape
step four-find yellow/green wire and tap into it
step five-run wire from tapped yellow/green to switch
step six-ground switch

It works like a charm, I am going to have a whole lot of toggle switches on my car...
Angel Eyes, RadFan, NOS Arm, Purge Arm, NOS Push Button, Purge Push Button, Chip ECU On/Off, Chip 1/Chip 2, Over Boost, Missiles, Oil Slicks, Invisibility, ok so maybe not the last three but you get the point... only angel eyes and radiator fan switch has actually been mounted, everything else is currently in progress, i won't set my NOS up like that until I have a steering wheel with push buttons.

Same way I did it in my sedan. Works perfect. I dont need it running down the track, but once my run is over, I just flip the switch

Yeah its worked out really nicely, I drove to the beach on a several hour drive and I thought I might need it but... I never used it. Weather was hot too, I have a pretty good tan on my left arm from taking off the top. Lol, repping the convertible tan.
