Hello all, I'm new to the D-series engines, but not a Honda noob. I decided to buy a car to mod instead of modding my daily driver, I have a 2005 Civic Si with bolt-ons. I bought a Taffy White 2000 EX coupe with 52k on the ODO. This car is going to be my weekend racer. I decided on a D, b/c well,...it's alot cheaper to mod than a K, and also the chasis is alot lighter, and there is something about a nicely done clean EK, that I've always loved. And also b/c if I blow the car up, I don't have a loan on this one. :p

1. Suspension upgrade. I just ordered some Omni Coilovers w/ f&r camber kit
and upgraded control arms. I haven't decided on what sway bars yet
2. Weight reduction. Rear seats, spare tire, jack, sound deading, airbags,
a/c...etc. Anything that takes up space that I don't need to go fast is
getting chucked, except a radio, that helps me go fast. I'd also like to find
fiberglass trunk and hood, cf fades and attracts too much attention for
me. Maybe lighter seats.
3. Engine. I'm starting to piece together a custom turbo kit. I also just
bought an extra block to drop some forged internals into. Still researching
what engine managment to get. But a stealthy exhaust (WS2 maybe),
test pipe, esmm, better clutch. and maybe a turbo cam would probally
eat almost the rest of my budget.
4. Exterior. I like clean and simple, a CTR grill, front lip, headlights, side
markers, Rota Auto-X's (black with red lip), and shaved emblems will
probally be all I do.
5. Interior. I have a CTR boot and shift knob. But again something simple,
CTR pedal assembly, EP3 steering wheel, and maybe some better seats
(that is if I can find some decent ones cheap, and red).
That is pretty much the order in which I want to do things. I'd like to have it done before the end of summer. I want a weekend rocket I can take to the drag strip/meets/shows.

I really wanted a CX/DX hatch,...:( But the things are so hard to find in excellent condition. I looked at a lot of 99-00 coupes, hatches, dx/lx's. But this one was in such immaculate shape I couldn't pass it up.
