so i'm ben and I just bought a 92 civic hb vx, the block says D15Z1 i've been told it's a jdm motor not usdm is their anyway to tell? If it is the jdm doesn't it have 125hp instead of the usdm 92? I'm not sure but I would like to know since I can't tell. You gotta forgive me my other car is a 98 C5 and it has 350hp so I can't tell the difference from 92-125hp:haha: I do know that I love the insurance>$142 for 6 months, the mpg 41.3 with a mix of around town/highway. And i've always loved eg's since I saw a built k20 turboed&nitrous running low 10's that one of my buddies had in cali. Mine has the usual stuff done to it, tubular sway bar w/poly bushings, looks like a camber kit in front as the a-arms don't look stock, spoon muffler w/magnaflow cat on a 2" crushbent POS exh system, short shift kit, cf shift knob, ractive pedals, genuine momo steering wheel w/hub adapter, gsr seats&front disc brakes, bbs aluminum 16X7 w/sumitomo 215/40/16 slammed on cheap coilovers, bought skunk2 lowering springs&sport2 shocks rear camber kit, has spoon style mirrors, mp3 player. Bought a dc sports header for it, black dual halo projectors w/eyelids, black altezzas, K&N CAI now i'm afraid of running threw a puddle the damn filter is so close to the ground:o Plan on adding poly motor mounts&torque damper, strut bars front/back, fiberglass or cf seats, roll cage or harness bar, small system prob build custom side pods for dual 5.25 or a 6.5&a 6.5 midbass driven off the deck, 10" L7 in a custom spare tire enclosure, relocate the battery to trunk, put methanol tank in batt location. Custom turbo kit using a ported wrx td04 turbo on custom mani&stock wrx topmount ic, probally dsm 450cc inj&1g bov w/walbro 255&10g-pump rewire, ebay 2.5 or 3inch exh. Gonna try to keep A/C since it actually has it. Wanna build the engine for 250-300flywheel hp. Lsd upgraded clutch and lightweight flywheel, tranny swap yes no? Probally add carbon hood/hatch/duckbill&STI scoop for the topmount, skunk2 or blox im w/64mm tb, lighter 15X7 wheels w/205/50/15 or 215/15/15, rear disc swap, slotted rotors all around and perf pads&fluid stainless braided lines.
