general overhaul ?'s

in my car now is a z6 with 250xxx miles......im in the market for a lower mileage z6, zc or odb1 d15b...and id like 2 make sure it lasts for a long time i plan on replacing: v.c. gasket, head gasket, in/ex mani gaskets, rear main seal, water pump, oil pump, piston rings, rod/crank bearings, oil pan gasket, timing belt.....what else "needs" to be replaced?

Sounds about right. Look at the valve seals too, heard alot about them leaking at high miles on RedPepperRacing.com. Rather then that clean everything...the more time cleaning the better things will seal and it will last ALOT longer

looks good, and yes replace the valve seals. Don't forget about the front crank seal and maybe a new oil pump
