I bought a used JDM D15B (single carb) non-vtec to replace my dead D15B7.

after the swap the car ran very slow, it felt heavy, so after doing research i figured the timing was off, so i bought an advance timing gun and set the timing myself

thats when i realized that the crank pulley on this engine does not have just the one white mark (TDC) and the the 3 marks (14,16,18 BTDC) that i see written everywhere, instead it has two marks where the one TDC mark should be, and then the 3 marks(14,16,18 BTDC)

I know i cannot have two different TDC marks, but my crank pulley has them, so im not sure which one is the real TDC mark.

i just set the timing by aligning the marker on the belt cover to be in between the 2 TDC marks on my pulley.

and have it adjusted at 17 BTDC, using my advance timing gun.

the car runs way better and has more torque than before, because before the timing was retarded at 8 BTDC, (using the middle of the 2 TDC marks as TDC, with the timing gun, i centered it to 0, and the dial on the timing gun was at 8 BTDC)

but i'm still confused by my crank pulley, has anyone seen a pulley with 2 TDC marks before? im running on 93 octane fuel, just in case i advanced it too much, so if anyone has more info on this, please let me know. i'll try to post a pic of the pulley soon.
