View Full Version : Sohc ZC head question (sohc zc owners, help)

Sohc ZC 1.6L owners, can you help me.... I need you to check the casting number on your cylinder head, and post here! The stamp is on the exhaust side of the head, right above the exhaust manifold.

I would go to a local importer, but im on medication that = no driving (surgery the other day), and the local importer is a lazy ass and wont check for me


EDIT: 88-91 sohc zc, non vtec.....the jdm "d16a6"

if i recall the stamp for a z6 is p08. i have a vx head (that i thought was a z6 head) and it's a p07. i looked at my freinds z6 and his said p08. my intake manifold also says p08.

ZC, not z6. i'm talking about the jdm d16a6 ZC

not the fake vtec ZC's

Sorry about that man... I was supposed to get a picture of that for you, right? I'm replacing the clutch cable right now- I'll snap a pic of the stamping for you and post it up.

Ok, got it... you can clearly see the "ZC" stamp on the block, along with the PM3-5 stamp on the head.

i'm going to try to figure out which head is from where for all of these "A6" lookalikes...lol

They really should all be the same head... the only possible difference might be the cam, but I think even that is the same.
