custom gauge pod built by me :)

well i was bored today and decided to custom make me a gauge pod that i ahve not been able to find anywere.i thought the gauges on my a piller would just look tacky and kinda played out so i wanted something differant then everybody else so here is what i done......i am good with working with fiber glass and i had an old a piller laying around so i used it for a precise fit on the gauges and tacked the 2 peices together,i then fiberglassed it all up and put some rino liner over it to give it about the same look as my center console,let me know what you guiys think,it is actually way more work involved then that but i forgot to snap pictures while i was building it.i think it turned out nice and it is in perfect angle for me to just glance down at it when needed.just sucks now that i have no cup holder,lol not that the stock one was worth a damn in eg's anyways..........

not bad, def an original idea :TU:. I have a friend that has one that someone made for him that goes over the vent on the top center of the dash.

i just thought it was a little differant and it looks alot more clean then the gauges up in the glass.

good work what materials did you use to do it?

just a little bit of fiber glass and hacked a little bit of one of my old pods up for the gauges to fit perfect.it mounts exactly were the 4 screws for the cup holder goes,i will snap a pic of it out of the console so you can check it out if you want to make one,i used just a tad bit of body filler to get it all smooth and round.
