FMIDRC Racer -- didnt you use a cx block and did a mini me ? was it worth it ? we just got a free d15b8 and we ( jdm sqad and myself ) are wondering wether or not , its worth building .. i mean , it was ffree .. or we could always part it out .. anyone else using the cx block as part of their D combo ? lemme know whats up .. i'll post pics of it asap .. also , the only thing wrong with it , is , it needs some minor head work ...

you probly won't get shit for any parts from that block. it is a very good motor to use for a mini me cause it has the flat top pistons. i'd do a mini me and then slap a mugen chip in the ecu and have at it. it should scream. just don't try and spray it...lol. i still have allot of parts from my b8 to if you need anything.

nice, just what I wanted to hear .. well we tore it apart today and this is what we found , destroyed pistons and a completely useless cyc. head .. lol cant argue with " free " right ?

oh that motor looks fine....a lil WD40 and some jb weld... maybe a strip of duct tape or two and it'll be runnin like a champ!

it doesnt look terrible. you should just strip it down get it cleaned up. get the block honed. and maybe like a block guard and put her back together.

quick question .. what oem pistons would work best with n/a ?
and what would work with boost? the vx pistons ?

leave the b8 pistons in for all motor. as far as boost goes i have no idea.

in most b8's they used the pm3 pistons to cut cost i guess. they are the pistons that came in that motor. if you saw my post in the showcase you can see that i had the same ones inmy car. my car was 100% stock when i bought it.

yeah i like the z6 head, it flows pretty good. as far as pistons if you need some let me know your address and they'll be on the way.

Hey Alex wanna help me start "project B7 golf cart" ? I have my old Dx tranny, P06 ECU, wire harness and PLENTY of parts to make a complete running B7 :) All we need is some hubs and axles. ehehe 90hp golf cart yeah buddy!

now your speaking my lauguage. let's make a high compression one. we can use my vx head and get a vtec ecu and make the vtec come on at like 1500 rpm. that beast will scream!!!!! i want to take another 1.5 block and put the vx head on and have the vtec come in at 1500 rpms and see what it runs. even with the vtec on at 4800 it would still break the tires loose at 2,000 rpm in 1st and 2nd. emagine that on a golf cart!!!!!!

^^ well thanks to this man , the motor will be getting 3 new rods / pistons .. time for an oem budget build ;)
