okay i just picked up a full y8 this week end for 200 bux it came with whole motor ,intake manifold , trans , and an ecu just missing the harness

so now i got a full y7 in my car and a full y8 on the side

now i need help decideing how to set it up if i was going na or turbo

these were my setups i had in mind..


setup 1

run the y8 manifold wit the y7 t/b ( so i dont need to deal wit teh iacv plugs, just use the same plugs i had ) and run the y8 trans .. possibly boost it

setup 2 make a mini me and use the trans maybe boost again

setup 3 full on y8 top to bottom ....( would it be faster the mini me?)

whats the best set up for boost

whats the best setup for na ...

i am opened to so much options right now with the y8 just siting on the side

i found a 550 dollar turbo kit i might put that on ...

other than dat my money factor is not more than a grand

goals for the car is to atleast hit 14's or just be able to kill a b16 (if possible i wanna try it out with stock internals)

I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHATS A GOOD SET UP WIT THE PARTS I HAVE .....

just to start off the build i ll worry about how much money ill put in to the project after i know my setup ....

im not sure if i want to run the vtec head yet i know the manifold is going in

but if i dont get the turbo fo shure the vtec head is going on

Slow car.

Stock internals are good for about 8-10psi if you want to make it to work everyday and will make around 175hp at worst.
