My exhaust is shot, so I was planning on replacing it. The shops around here are quoting me between 165-185 to replace the STOCK system. Well in the far future, I plan on going boost (will be my first). I read that 3" exhaust is the way to go for turbo. Well since right now I'm looking for a exhast sytem/upgrade to replace my jacked up stock system, should I consider getting a 3" system now and get it over with? I remember a discussion on g2ic before about back pressure. It seems to be one of those arguments that goes on forever. That being said, if I goto a 3" system now, with a stock d15b8 or once I goto z6 will that create problems? Or should I just go for a cheap alternative from ebay (like the N1 or something else) for now? At least I'll be spending around the same amount of money that the shops are trying to charge me for and I'll be getting bigger piping. Thanks

It all depends on how far in the future you plan on booooosting. Close then get the 3 inch. In like 2 years then go with a cheap rep[lacement. Tenrai and airmass on ebay are less than stock.
