I bought the ZC shortblock today but now I need a waterpump and tensioner as its diferent from the Z6 and I didnt know that.
Im going to use a stock Z6 head for now as the other one is being ported and milled, but Ill use a 2layer HD so 10.2cr is good for now, I might spray it to see if it holds nicely., and then move on to 10.7cr.
OHH I bent a rod on the Z6 block :P

a z6 head will not bolt up to a zc block. check the bolt pattern, one is off. also if you mill your head and only use two layers of a head gasket with a z6 head your compression will be like 11-12:1.

on a soch zc it'll bolt up since the sohc zc is supposedly the same as the a6 si. on a dohc it wont bolt up
why you spent so much money on a long block when you are going to do a mini me? i can get a complete jdm d15b vtec long block for 300...now that's with the intake mani, exhaust mani, dizzy, sensors, and low mileage as well...

I live in Venezuela a d15b is about $500 without a dizzy and I already had the head so I just bought the longblock as a rebuild and higher compression

I did the mini me and it has absolutely no top end, Im going to buy an adjustable cam pulley but Im unsure of how many degrees I should set it back to get back to 0 degrees of advance.

now I have a problem, the car wont start and I tried everything electrical that I could (coil, ignitor, rotor, plugs, main relay and distributor housing) and it still wont start. I checked compression and its extremely low on number 4, could this be my problem? maybe the timing belt skipped and I bent the valves and my timing is now so far off it wont start
