My Del Sol Si Intro

Hey everyone! I've made a few posts here already and decided to introduce myself and the project properly. Anway, enough about myself, here's the car...

'94 Del Sol bought March 9, 2005 @ 1:15 AM! She had 96k miles on it and had little dimple like dents all over it from being in a crazy hail storm in Montana. Car was red and completely bone stock without a license plate(car came from another state). Funny thing is, i got pulled over for the FIRST time EVER 15 MINUTES after buying the damn car!!! I was maybe going 70 or 75 on a 60. The officer was nice enough to understand that i had just bought the car and let me slide. But onto what's been done to it....

Curbed out Integra GSR "Fat Fives" put on maybe 3 days after purchase

after 2 weeks of having her, it was time to bring her into the school bodyshop for a nice makeover done by your's truely. New color is some kinda 1950's Chevy black. All emblems and front license plate holes shaved off.

A few months later, she gets dropped on some Neuspeed Race Springs and Tokico Blues with cleaner "fat fives" plus new rubber.

Went to a Honda Stealership and paid $60 for an OEM eg front lip!

My first "power" mod. Megan Racing's 4-2-1 header. This pic is it after maybe 15 minutes of driving. it looks like poop now =/. I threw on an ebay special CAI a little while after that but it dont have any pics of it. Nothing special nonetheless.

So then i get side swiped by some elder lady sometime in december of 05. I bring her back into the shop to get the damage repaired and shave the antenna hole this time around(which was a B*&&#tch). I decided to replace the seals for the roof but never got around to actually purchasing them since then(lol) so it sits in the garage without seals with these parts waiting to be installed.

OBX "Twinloop" Exhaust. I know everyone's opinion and view of OBX products but i've heard this exhaust on another del sol, installed one on my girl's ek coupe, and they both sounded awsome. Welds on it look awsome and sit pretty nicely up in the bumper after installed.

Current plans for the sol is to get her boosted around 8psi. So far i've bought a HF mani. Looking at getting a 14b turbo but i'm looking for much of anything that comes around my way. I'm getting irritated with the loud and gutless d16z6.

List of plans so far for the build. Plz do chime in on anything i may be missing or need to include.

-14b turbo
-hf mani w/ BMC adapter plate(might get the mani ported)
-DSM BOV
-DSM 450 injectors
-Not sure on which oil lines to go with
-2.25" charge piping
-cheap ebay intercooler or a JRC IC if i can get my hands on one
-2.5" exhaust piping
-Reccomendations on downpipe size?
-Walboro Fuel pump(not sure on which one to go with here either)
-and get everthing crome tuned(should i get a wideband before i tune?)

right on! There's another milano sol on hondavision that goes by something like toolowsol that has that exact setup i believe. Accept, he has a wing if can recall!

you do NOT want to see the rest of the engine bay. She's still red :crying: I do, however, keep it clean with simple green every other car wash.

That is my mission. Comments like these give me a HUGE sense of accomplishment and make me push harder. My ideal appearance of the vehicle after everything is all said and done cosmetically, is to have it how i BELIEVE honda should have made the car look like from the factory. Instead of the :fag: image they ended up with.

Man, whenever you believe you are ready for one, start looking for one maybe 2 weeks to a month ahead of time! finding a nice and straight del sol is next to impossible these days. Especially with their COLD azz blind spots! And just so you dont have any headache, find one that doesn't leak water in the cabin or the trunk.

Eh, i dont frequent cardomain. Its gatta be from somewhere else! But the s2k instal has been done numerous times. i had this write up for a long while now and of corse, before i laid down the dinero to buy the seats. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=347548 this should cover del sol seats as well. Unfortunately, i'm not the FIRST soler to have these seats put in so i have plenty of places to look for help =)

Nah i havn't put them in yet. I'll be sure to post pics the minute i get them in though. The problem with slangin you the seats is that i'll be taking the seat pans outs of the del sol seats so i can sit lower and bolt all 4 corners of the seat rails down. Or i could just find myself another set of civic/integra seats and tear those apart. But like i said, i'll post pics ASAP.

I'm a student as well and i roll an 89 ef hatch as a daily. the sol sits around and looks pretty for the weekends. I bought the hatch for $1000 and the sol for $3800. thats under $5k for 2 cars...when most people spend about 5k on one anyway. I cant stress HOW convenient(sp) it is to have more than one car. But good luck on the search though

WEEEE!!!!! Looks like i picked up a t3 off of an '89 Merkur XR4Ti(anyone know how one of these things look like? Let alone what car i'm talkin about lol) last night for 2 drive belts and a jug of coolant. which came out to $40.

It REALLY needs to be sent into Blaast for a rebuild. No in and out, little side to side, but the wheel doesn't spin too well.

i almost got the same turbo off a murker xr4ti at a local junkyard. i couldn't get to the down pipe bolts so i left. came back te next day with a hacksaw and it was gone.

i have an obx twin loop on my civic and love it!!!
