just a quik question, when using a y7 or y8 block with a z6 head do you use the y8 timing belt or z6

As far as i know a z6 cause i was gonna throw a z6 head on my d15b and i had to use a z6 belt.

Use the approiate belt for the head... Z6 head = Z6 belt

yeah y8 for y8 belt z6 for z6 belt etc but the part numbers for z6 and y8 came up the same when i went to buy mine at advanced auto parts
