now what is detenation in an engine. I heard that running very lean(i think to much air not enough fuel) can cause your motor to detenate because there is now enough fluid lubruicating the metal causing the cylinder to get very hot and flame and when the spark plugs go off which causes an alot of heat which is not good for the motor?:confused: So if true then boosting a motor is one can be one easy way to have a motor detenate? yea i know i sound confusing but im tryin to understand every bit of an motor.
