all motors (in general) you have to use dowel pins when mating the head and blocks correct? im throwing my y8 together tonight and i think i mis placed them (well if they were there before the aint now) do i HAVE to use them? if so where can i get them from asap:cussing:

I would think if you didn't have to use them ....they wouldn't be there in the first place.
I think i have a few laying around... let me know if you want them

if not on the head, look on the block. they get stuck

They have 2 dowels that align the head to the block. Cheap from Honda and Most Dealers have them in stock... I have never NOT used them so I cant say. But I wouldnt do it to my motors IMO. Just added insurrance for a perfect fit..

same dowels are used to align the tranny to block and the tranny case halfs, how many you need?
Also make sure to put them in the CORRECT locations........
