It could be launching real human babies and I'd laugh my ass off. What can I say, I'm a cynic and that is the least "mean" thing happening in the world at that moment.

Remember, plants are living things too, but they don't have pain nerves, so you dont care about cutting your grass, chopping down trees for a fire, etc etc, or simply killing a tree in your front yard because you "don't like it". Tell you what, you worry about how people treat animals, I'll worry about plants, because life is life. Would you have pulled the plug on terry schavo or whatever that vegatable's name was? She couldn't feel pain at the time so it'd be ok right?

Really not trying to be a dick to you specifically, just the position you took. I think it's highly hypocritical when people talk about animal's rights and their "life", but not plants...
