Valve spring color

hey just a quick simple question realy, iv had a search an cant find an answer so..

took my head apart on my d16z6 to do some work. forgot what color valve spring goes to which side. i have springs with orange paint on an springs with blue paint.

am i rite in thinking blue goes on exhaust side an orange on the intake? with the tighter wound coil to the spring seat?

i think the orange paint is on the exhaust side and blue is intake side. i used to know this but now i cant remeber. but i do know that the tighter wound side of the coil goes on the spring seat.

Well, when I got my head back from the shop, the blues were on the exhaust IIRC.

Orange= exhaust and blue= intake. Like orange for hot and blue for cold.

yep. blue is intake and my exhaust are red but yea the orange are exhaust.

I think you guys have got it a bit mixed up. Orange is Intake and Bule's Exhaust. Measure the wire diameter and spring hight, the shorter spring with the thicker wire should go for the Intake side.
