hello.....feel free to poke fun at the new guy :)

just a few ZC questions...This probly the best place for answers...

My woman and I daily drive a *canadian* 91 civic DX sedan D15/automatic. at 285xxx kilometers,it still runs fairly well, and good fuel milage,BUT ive noticed some oil in the antifreeze the other day while I was changing the upper rad hose.
I can get ahold of a low milage ZC DOHC complete swap (engine, fuel injection,5spd,wiring,etc). It was swapped into a 91 civic si but that car is being parted.
Now,Id REALLY REALLY like to get this swap goin into my sedan,BUT we NEED to keep the car automatic. Is it possible to use my auto trans and axles with a DOHC ZC motor??? Id really like to go this route,if I cant Ill have to swap in a B16 or B18 with an automatic.

THANKS for any help!

no. use the flexplate and torque converter off your old motor and use the axels you are using now. thats really the only option...

just to add, you need an automatic throttle body.

The ones off a manual don't have a bracket or provision to accomodate the transmission kick-down detente whatever thing.

Thanks guys...Is it a good idea to do this swap?
If I run the trans/axles/flexplate and TC off my current motor setup, anyone forsee any problems?
And the throttle body-Ill need to find one off a 91 civic si auto?
If they even made automatic si civics?

Thanks for any help :)
