First off, I don't want subs. I don't want components. I don't want amps. I want a head-unit and 4 6.5" speakers in my crx. Just a little music.

I like this one for the AUX input on the front, and the pause button. Most pioneer units lack the pause button. It also comes with 2 6.5" speakers, although I'm not sure which ones.

I currently have pioneers lowest model FIRST easy-EQ cd receiver. I'd like to be able to plug in my ipod to the front(aux input).

Would you buy it? Anyone hear anything bad about this setup?

Yeah pioneer is a good brand so that should work fine. You may also want to check out clarion. I installed one in a friends car and it only cost $100 shipped and came with all the install stuff for free. Check out www.sounddomain.com they usually have really good deals.

you might want to pony up 10 dollars more and get the one with a rotory volume knob. pressing up and down for volume sucks.

I don't personally have any experience with that head unit but an Aiwa with 4 6.5" Sony Xplod's from Wal-Mart sounds pretty damn nice in a CRX... so go for it!

I came from the canadiantire store and I've buy a sony xplod cdx-gt310 head unit in special at 129 can$(148 w/tax)
-4x52w(sn ratio over 100db)
-mp3/wma capability
-front AUX input
-xm/sirius radio sat ready
-adjustable rear sub preamp output

There is nothing wrong with cheap head unit!
I paid 99can$ 2 year ago for a sony head unit for my gf car and it work great!
