How does it compare to the 91 and 89 accord? Well the 91 accord was an auto dx, it was beat up ugly and never maintained whatsoever i beat the shit out of that car everyday had the car for a year and only did one oil change. It overheated on me more times than i can recall.(water pump went out) But after seeing how i abused it and it would start everyday i started to like hondas. So the hatch is in much better condition and it rides way better. The 89 lxi well that car had everything i could want, fully loaded, 5 speed, sunroof and flip up headlights. I loved the car but there is hardly any aftermarket support for it. It is much "nicer" than my civic cuz of all the power features and with the 5 speed im sure much quicker than my hatch. But my hatch handles alot better and accelarets more smothly. Overall im very happy with the civic. Also im not knocking on the auto that much lol its actually kinda nice to drive an auto after driving a manual since they can get annoying sometimes.

Your 89 have the 2 liter A series motor? Just because its not on ebay or jspec.com or whatever doesnt mean theres no aftermarket for them. Ever been to 3geez.com? Its the 3rd gen Accord forums.

Yeah my 89 accord came with the a20a3 motor and i know all about 3geez.com im a member there as well. I never said there was no aftermarket support, its just virtually non existant hardly any company out there makes anything for a 3g. I would have loved to have found place racing engine mounts to drop a gsr motor into it but the company went out of bussiness years ago. Alot of the parts have to be custome made. I really dont have the time or money for that. That engine is perfect for turbo cuz its cast iron but it would cost a good deal of money to turbo it and have it running good without blowing up. Thanks to everyone for your comments. The first thing im gonna do to the car will be new tint all around and a ctr grill.

I've had Manuals all my life too so this is a good change.I'm just trying now too make up for the power loss or that grey area that Auto's have.I think it will be achieveable.I don't want the fastest thing out there that's forsure.
