hey, i ran a 9.6 @74mph(1988 thunderbird turbo coupe 18psi boost, ported head, 3" exaust, street tires @ 4,500ft elevation(salt lake city, utah) my car weighs about 3,700lbs with me and gas. i ended up with :bubbrubb: a best of 14.8@96mph, with a tire spinning 2.5 60ft, just horible. if i had drag radials id be in the 13's. but your time is pretty respectable, what do you have done? NOS? ive beat all kinds of cars with the bird...porsche boxter(twice) many 5.0's, preludes, civics, camaros, big block 73 firebird....fwr turbo eclipes...the list is huge, so id say youd run a 15.0 or a really high 14, maybe 14.8, 14.9.thats decent for a honda. sweet.

1/8 mile is pretty pointless...IMO. If anything, it all depends on your RT and 60 ft. Cant really "guess" or compare what it will run in the 1/4 mile either... My best 1/8 is 8.5

by the way, thats a 2.3L 4 pot single over head cam...8 valves of fury...it was originaly for the pinto...it makes 290-300hp...thats around 120 hp per litre..not bad...ive only got 2 grand in the car...if that. its a sleeper...and boy, to guys get pissed when i smoke them. my dad has a 03' wrx that runs high 13's in the 1/4...and we raced, once to 80mph from a role, and we were dead even the whole time...another time we raced to 135mph...i was right there next to him the whole time...he about craped his pants. its faster than the 14.6 it ran, i just need traction. im going to buy a civic ex soon, because of gas milage, and the fact that they are so reliable. im going to do bsaic mods so it dosnt bore me to death...like a cold air, header, exaust, lightweight wheels, and i'll port the head and intake, and mill the head. i figure it will run high 15's. what do you think a 96 ex would run with these mods?

9.39@73mph On 22x8x13 M&H slicks with an air temp of 85º 84% humidity and a corrected alt of 1200ft
1.98 60'
Setup at the time was:
95CX hatch full interior all seats in, floor mats everything! Including my sub amp screwed in the trunk spare tire well (removed the sub of course)
JRSC@8psi D15B7 with 230k miles and 2 weak cylinders.
POS DX tranny that I blew up 3 passes later.
I actualy prefere the 1/8 over the 1/4 for a few reasons. One is our cars are relativly "slow" and the 1/4 to me is boring. I bracket race and most of the cars I run are 1-3 seconds quicker than me in the 1/8th so a head start isnt so bad when you meet at the finishline. However on the 1/4 its too damn long. Its like, get rolling, look in the mirror, check out the crowd, turn on the radio, adjust your mirrors zzzz get my point? 13-14 seconds is a LONG time IMO. Also on test and tune night you get a ton more runs in on the 1/8th due to how quick each run is over and the next pair of cars are going.

Mine was a high 8 when I went. I hate 1/8 mile though. 1/4 mile is more my style.
