Changing the oil in my 98 civic Si (ex) and wanted to know what oil you guys are using, or better yet what you guys recommend. Thanks

You want something designed for your colder temps up there... I use Castrol Syn in all my cars.

Are you asking engine oil or tranny oil? Since it is a transmission forum.

Sorry missed a word there, i'll be changing the tranny oil, and yes i searched but didn't find anything of great use, I was thinking either 5W30 synthetic or go with Honda Manual transmission fluid. Is there any benefit to using Royal purple, or other aftermarket gear oil (redline)? thanks
