View Full Version : Colored Valve Springs????

quick question. Got a y8 head from a buddy a couple days ago and while cleanin it up i noticed that the valve springs were colored on top. baby blue on the intake side and red on the exhaust. Um wonderin if aneone else has seen springs like em or if sumone previously disassembled it and did that just to remember which ones are which. Help and input is greatly appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken that's just stock springs, I think there is different tension or height for intake and exhaust springs but I could be wrong. but a lot of parts are color coded like that.

Makes it easier to put it together at the factory.
