There is a 89 hatch 4-speed f/s localy that I am takign in to consideration.

My plan would be to take the y7 out of my Del Sol (currently an auto trans) and put it in the 88 Hatch.

Would I use the 88's d-series clutch and flywheel?

As stupid as the question may seem it's just a reassurance thing for me. Want to make sure I buy the correct shiz for this swap:TU:

just match the clutch & flywheel with whatever tranny you decide to use...

if the clutch in the '88 is still good, use the flywheel and clutch from the 4speed

if you want to bump up to the 212mm flywheel, then you dont want the '89 clutch/flywheel

I'll rock a y7 with a 4speed for a while lol.

If I'm not pleased with it I'll bump up to a later model ex/si trans at the end of the summer

Thanks guys :TU:
