hey i know this might be a stupid question but i have put two sets of new spark plug tube seals on and put gasket maker around them too and i still get oil coming in on top.,,,, is there something that i am missing or somethign that you guys know to do differently. thanks in advance

the gaskets that go between your valve cover and head?
all you have to do is thake the valve cover off, look at the underside of the valve cover. in the spark plug holes that are cut out, pull out the old gaskets, put a new one in (make sure you push em in good) and voila.

i had the same problem, it ended up being that i stripped one of the five valve cover bolts

there should only be 4 valve cover bolts on a sohc.
you may want to check the gaskets between the rocker assembly and head.

It's your bolts. Make sure you are torquing them to the proper spec.

There are 5 on the SOHC VTEC covers atleast. The non-VTEC covers have nuts and studs, right?
I never took apart my D15B7 before selling it, so I really don't know much about it.
