I know it's not my car but just got this back from the machine shop. Picture was taken with a Verizon LG Picture Phone, that's why it's so small.
Consists of complete rebuild, new bearings, rings, JE pistons, forged rods, polished crank, block guard install, honing all 4, and then milling. By the way when the blockguard was installed it threw the top of the cylinder walls off by 2 thousands of an inch. So just remember that when installing these.

Oh yea, heres what will be hanging off the front some time soon, a nice T3/T4 with less then 1000 miles after rebuild.

How much did all that assembly/machining cost you? Im about to have a local shop slap my motor together, and I was trying to get a ballpark of how much it will cost.

You just don't know, having it sitting here waiting to get dropped in. I have no money left so It's just a waiting game.

It cost me $400 total.

Hoaning = $40 ($10 per cylinder)
Assembly = $200
Bearings = $65
Milling = $50
Polished Crank = $35

Plus shipping and tax on the bearings. Came out to be about $400 which I felt was well worth it, to have everything done right.

Yea, right now im scraping to finish. Probaly won't be done for atleast another month, by then I may wait for spring. I have a mostly stock 93' DX hatch, just lowered, 5 speed swap. All stock body panels, painted Electric Blue Pearl Metallic. Getting a re-paint in the spring.
