i don't think there is a difference between y8 and the z6 heads...

z6 ftw it has better parts options!
but why stroke the motor so u make lots of usless high rpm horse power and no tourqe.
spend some money on some sleeve and big bore if u want a biger motor.

stroke = torque
destroke = high rpm power
i smell very poor r/s ratios unless you had a million mile tall block to work with.
to achieve the same r/s ratio as a d16 (which isn't great) you would need 144 mm rods
for r/s of a d15 (better than a d16) you would need 150mm rods and for ideal r/s ratio of 1.75 you would need 165.2 mm rods.
Now, these rods exist with proper journal sizes for the d17 (I kid you not) *hint hint* nascar
but...with a deck height of 212 mm how are you going to fit 165mm rods on top of a 94.4 mm stroke?

the Z6 combustion chamber is slighlty larger than the y8. so if ur going for a tad compression go for the y8

just wanted to hear everyones opinion on this. it would be different. also do you think there is a way to bump displacement up in the d16 to 1.8L safely?
