I GOT A QUESTION. DOES ANYONE HAVE A NEW D16Z6 WITH A CLUTCH THAT FEELS REALLY REALLY STIFF. ANOTHER QUESTION. DO RACE CLUTCHES FEEL ROUGH AND STIFF OR ARE THEY LIKE NORMAL CLUTCHS

it depends what clutch you get. I think that the unsprung clutches are very rough and stiff.

my dual friction clutch is very soft. very much like stock.

WELL I KNOW IS IT IS WEIRD. LIKE WHEN I COME OF THE LINE WHEN IM DAILY DRIVING IT ENGAGES VERY QUICKLY . SO WAS WANDERING WHAT I PROBABLY HAVE. ALSO I CANT THROUGH THE GEARS AS QUICK WITH THIS CLUTCH.

Ive got a ACT HD pressure plate and a street disc. it has a nice stiff feel, though not too stiff. it engages soon after releasing it...not easy to feather on. Ive had it for a while now and love it. everytime iget into a friends car...ARGH!!! its like they dont have a clutch at all...so damn soft.....

used Centerforce Dual Friction, great for a daily beater.

Soon to be tested, a South Bend Clutches DXD 4 puck spung setup.

also can anyone tell me how much improvement does a race cltuch give you

if the stock one is working, the race clutch does nothing.

I went 13.27 on slicks with 75 shot on the stock clutch, no slipping.

But the Centerforce Dual Friction won't hold the power I'm making anymore while on the bottle.

They make clutches in Indiana!!! Speaking of I am curious if my stage1 clutchmasters will hold up with this new motor. Held great with my JRSC D15B7 on 22" slicks. Rev limiter clutch dumps weeee. This go around I am going with the JDM D15B VTEC, water/alcohol injection, ford#30's, quaife and uberdata. I hope with some good tuning I can crank up the timing and let er rip. Just hope my clutch holds :( I'm flat broke with this MAJOR upgrade. According to my calculations it should hold up to 220 flywheel HP and I know for sure I wont be near that. If I am, I better get some rods really quick lol.
