I can't get my head off...

Posting this here because I feel like a massive, pathetic, hopeless newbie.

I'm working on my first ever engine build, a D16A6. So far I've gotten the engine out of the car, the transmission off, and that's about it. I don't have access to a big enough compressor/impact wrench to get the crank pulley off, so I decided to get the head off there.

I pulled the timing belt off the cam gear, and got all the head bolts off (after being really suprised at how tight they were in there :P). BUT the head won't budge. Yes, I got all 10 bolts out of the head. I'm stumped, and afraid of breaking something, so I ask for help. Did I miss something?

Pull up for the intake manifold if its still on the head ....

check all the coolant hoses?

Make sure the intake manifold is not still bolted to the brace that comes off of the the shortblock. Same goes for the exhaust manifold, it has a brace that bolts to the block. Dont be embarrassed it has happened to everyone once 8)
