yes they can although the block will have to be notched.

block doesn't need notching, but the rods are too wide.........

and 3mm too short!!!!

shave a little off the sides, bush the wristpin hole, and get yourself a set of non-US Supra 1G-GTE pistons and you have yourself a good boost combo.

although a set of TT rods and Vitaras are a little more economical

nice little webpage that i found regarding this combo. i found it when i almost went with the 1g-gte b16 combo a while back.
