I'm getting the sohc zc from hmotorsonline. Everyone tells me i should go ahead and replace the timing belt, water pump, head gasket... is this necessary? on a side note are all d-series water pumps and timing belts the same? and were would be the cheapest place to buy this stuff?

Also do you have any suggestions as to what else i should replace/upgrade?
I was thinking about simple/cheap stuff i.e lightened crank pulley, and lightened flywheel.. anything else?

i would replace the timing belt and water pump. To replace the water pump you have to take the timing belt off so most of the time they get changed together. do a tune-up on it. Don't do the head gasket, not needed unless it is leaking, but then that would be a bad motor. just use your stock pullys.
